Line drawing opens a versatile approach to illustration: doodle-like, expressive, and used by artists across disciplines. This class teaches you to draw botanical subjects with confidence—ferns, branches, leaves, flowers of many kinds, wreaths, succulents, and cacti.
Peggy Dean demonstrates how the same object can yield multiple styles (simple, textured, intricate, ornate) depending on your mood and intent. You'll work from photographs, pressed flowers, and live specimens to develop your ability to translate organic forms into compelling line art.
The emphasis on translating real-world observation into illustration makes these techniques applicable to every creative project—from tangible artworks to digital illustration and product design.
