Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Korshub collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short and plain. If anything is unclear, please ask.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account information: your name, email address, and profile image when you sign in with Google or an email and password.
- Watchlist and email preferences: the courses you add to your watchlist to hear about deals, and whether you've chosen to receive (or opted out of) our deal and announcement emails.
- Creator and billing information: for creators, listing details and the payment information processed by our payment providers (we never store full card numbers).
- Usage data: pages viewed and deals clicked, collected in aggregate to improve the catalogue and measure which deals are useful.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and secure the service: to authenticate your account, review listings, process creator payments, and understand which deals and features learners find valuable.
As an account-holder, you may also receive occasional deal alerts (for courses you watch, or deals we think are worth knowing about) and Korshub announcements by email. We send these on the basis of your account relationship with us; every one includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off any time from your account settings. Transactional emails you request (verification codes, password resets, receipts, support replies) are always sent regardless of that choice.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your email address with course creators or advertisers.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we're required to retain records (for example, billing records for tax purposes).
One deliberate exception: when you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we keep a minimal do-not-contact record — a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address, never the address itself — even after you delete your account. We retain it for the sole purpose of honoring your opt-out, so that we don't email you again if the same address is later re-added (this is permitted under GDPR Article 17(3) for compliance with a legal obligation). You can ask us to remove it by contacting us.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information at any time. Every deal-alert and announcement email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, you can turn marketing emails on or off from your account settings, and you can close your account from your settings. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we'll respond promptly.
7. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and to notify you promptly in the unlikely event of a breach that affects you.
8. Children
Korshub is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use Korshub after a change means you accept the updated policy.
