Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account information: your name, email address, and profile image when you sign in with Google or an email and password.
• Watchlist and email preferences: the courses you add to your watchlist to hear about deals, and whether you've chosen to receive (or opted out of) our deal and announcement emails.
• My Learning: for all signed-in accounts, we automatically save a course summary when you follow a valid course-platform link through Korshub. This includes the course identifier, title and platform, the latest handoff time and link source, and any Taking or Completed status you explicitly set. We keep the latest handoff summary for each course. A handoff does not confirm enrollment, payment, attendance, or completion on the course platform.
• Creator and billing information: for creators, listing details and the payment information processed by our payment providers (we never store full card numbers).
• Account-linked activity analytics: described in sections 3 and 4. It covers your visits, the pages you view, the deals you take and the other activity listed there, and it is tied to your account while you are signed in.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to provide and secure the service: to authenticate your account, review listings, process creator payments, and understand which deals and features learners find valuable.

As an account-holder, you may also receive occasional deal alerts (for courses you watch, or deals we think are worth knowing about) and Korshub announcements by email. We send these on the basis of your account relationship with us; every one includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can turn them off any time from your account settings. Transactional emails you request (verification codes, password resets, receipts, support replies) are always sent regardless of that choice.

We do not sell your personal information, and we never share your email address with course creators or advertisers.

My Learning summaries provide your personal library and help us understand interest in courses. This release does not use these summaries for personalized promotions or recommendations. Any future use must be assessed and disclosed before it is introduced. Automatic account-linked summaries are separate from optional analytics and advertising cookies and are not turned off by declining those cookies.

3. Account-linked activity analytics

Account-linked activity analytics is on for every account. While you are signed in, we tie your activity on Korshub to your account. Before you sign up or sign in, the same activity is tied to an anonymous visitor id instead. We record:

• Your visits and where they came from, such as a search engine, another site, an ad or an email.
• The course and blog pages you view.
• The deals you take, meaning the clicks that send you to a course platform.
• The sign-up prompts you see.
• Your searches, kept as topics.
• The courses you watch.
• Emails of ours that led to a visit.
• If you signed up after a visit, where your first visit and your most recent outside visit came from, and the course that led you to sign up if there was one. This is kept with your account.
• For the deals you open, the kind of browser you used, such as an app's built-in browser. We never keep your full browser details.

4. Why we record it and who sees it

We use this activity for five purposes: running the service, analytics, catalogue planning, marketing measurement, and abuse and security.

Korshub admins with the relevant permission can see it, including activity linked to a named member.

You can turn this off in Account › Your data, from the date the setting becomes available. Once you do, Korshub stops linking your browsing, searches and other activity to your account. We still keep a record of the deals you open through Korshub, because My Learning and the service need it; it is counted only in totals. Turning the setting off also keeps Microsoft Clarity off while you are signed in. We also honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control, which stop first-party tracking in your browser whether or not you have an account.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, Google AdSense to show advertising and the Meta Pixel to measure our own ad campaigns. These set analytics and advertising cookies and share data with those companies. For visitors in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland we ask for consent first through a cookie banner, and we set these only with consent where the law requires it. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie preferences” in the footer. You can also block cookies in your browser, though signing in may then not work.

We may also use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our public pages. For a share of visitors it records clicks, scrolling, pointer movement and the layout of each page, plus device and browser details, with page text and form fields masked. It records page addresses as they are, so a search results page shows what you searched for. It never runs on sign-in, account, creator or admin pages. It stays off when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and while you are signed in with activity analytics turned off. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland it runs only after you accept analytics cookies.

The cookies and browser storage we use are listed below. Third-party cookies are set by those services, and their lifetimes follow their own policies.

6. Sharing and third parties

We share data only with the providers that make Korshub work:

• Course platforms: when you click a deal, you're taken to the course's own platform (for example Udemy or Coursera), which has its own privacy policy.
• Google: Analytics and AdSense, plus Search Console data about Korshub's own site. See Google's privacy policy for how it processes this data.
• Meta: the Meta Pixel on our site, and Meta Ads reporting about Korshub's own campaigns.
• Microsoft: Clarity, if we use it, to see how a share of visitors use our public pages, with page text and form fields masked.
• Sentry: error reports, so we can find and fix faults.
• AWS: hosting, storage and email delivery for the service. Our application and database run on AWS.
• Impact: when you take a deal on a platform that uses Impact, the link passes a random click reference that Impact can't link to you. Impact also sees your IP address and browser when you pass through its link.
• Payment processors: Razorpay and PayPal handle payments for creator promotions securely.
• Email delivery: we use Amazon SES (Amazon Web Services) to send verification, transactional, deal-alert, and announcement emails.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. The table below shows how long we keep activity data. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we're required to retain records (for example, billing records for tax purposes).

My Learning summaries remain for the lifetime of your account, with no automatic age-based expiry at present. Clearing a manual status does not delete the saved summary. There is currently no individual history-delete control. You can export your summaries in Account, close your account, or contact us to exercise applicable access, correction, or erasure rights. Account closure and account erasure remove the My Learning summaries even where other legally required records must be retained.

One deliberate exception: when you unsubscribe from marketing emails, we keep a minimal do-not-contact record, a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address and never the address itself, even after you delete your account. We retain it for the sole purpose of honoring your opt-out, so that we don't email you again if the same address is later re-added (this is permitted under GDPR Article 17(3) for compliance with a legal obligation). You can ask us to remove it by contacting us.

8. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information at any time, and you can withdraw any consent you have given. Every deal-alert and announcement email includes a one-click unsubscribe link, you can turn marketing emails on or off from your account settings, and you can close your account from your settings. To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a grievance, contact us at support@korshub.com and we'll respond promptly.

If you are in India and we have not resolved your concern, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India. You can also contact the data protection authority where you live.

Your controls: the setting in Account › Your data (from the date it becomes available), “Cookie preferences” in the footer, and your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, Korshub stops recording your browsing on this site, keeps the Meta Pixel and Microsoft Clarity off, and tells Google not to use cookies for analytics or ads unless you accept them in our cookie banner. We still record the deals you open through Korshub, which we need to run the service.

9. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, scoped access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information and to notify you promptly in the unlikely event of a breach that affects you.

10. Children

Korshub is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we'll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continuing to use Korshub after a change means you accept the updated policy.
