UdemyThe myth that concept art requires innate talent keeps people from starting. This course focuses on fundamentals—stroke, shape, proportion, depth—and builds from there. You'll draw video game objects, characters, environments, and practice perspective and 3D thinking. The instructor emphasizes drawing for communication, not perfection; you're not trying to win art awards, you're conveying an idea quickly. Every lesson works for pencil-and-paper learners as well as digital artists, so your setup doesn't matter. You'll practice drawing through challenges and create work relevant to your interests, building real skills without monotonous copying. The pace is deliberate yet engaging, moving through advanced techniques like shading, lighting, and pose without losing the fun.
Even if you think you can't draw, don't have the time or talent - with our help you CAN DRAW.
This course focusses on practicing the fundamental concepts, but in a fun creative way. We'll draw characters, environments, objects, weapons, spaceships, game scenes and lots more.
You'll be encouraged to draw without trying to be perfect. Learning to draw concept art is more about conveying your idea than it is about winning art awards!
You can follow along with this course even if you don't have a fancy graphics tablet. Every lecture is suitable for people with paper-and-pencil, as well as those folks who have a digital drawing set up.
