Rather than offering a fixed set of dos and don'ts, this course builds a framework for processing the contradictions and complexity of contemporary Chinese society and culture. It's designed for Christians preparing to serve in China, already living there, or working with Chinese students back home, and draws on trainers with over 40 years of combined experience living and working in China.

The course includes five video lectures of 10-20 minutes each, quizzes, discussion and reflection questions, and a list of resources for further study. Content covers the key rules that shape Chinese social interaction, features of the Chinese educational system and how they inform worldview, and areas where newcomers' expectations often need adjusting.
