UdemyThis is a high-level, beginner-friendly walkthrough of what a Shopify store actually consists of — themes, the dashboard, the app store, and general best practices — for anyone who doesn't know where to start with ecommerce.
Complete ecommerce beginners considering Shopify, who want to understand the platform's moving parts before committing time or money to building a store.
This is explicitly a single section pulled from a larger ecommerce masterclass, so treat it as a solid orientation rather than a complete guide to launching a store.
This course will walk you through the high-level basics of a Shopify store

If you are wanting to begin your ecommerce journey, Shopify is a great place to start. Shopify's clean, simple, and easy-to-use software enables an individual to create a brand that can seem like it has dozens of employees.
Many people don't even know where to begin, so this mini-course will help you with that. We'll go over the basics of Shopify, some best practices I've learned along the way, and some tips and tricks to get your headed in the right direction. Essentially, you'll have an understanding of what Shopify is and how it works.
You'll also learn how to configure the look and feel of the site with themes and we'll look at configuring payments, shipping, apps, and more. After this course is done, you'll have the background knowledge necessary to spin up your own Shopify store and get started.
This class is an individual section of my much larger masterclass: "How To Create An Online Store: Fundamentals of eCommerce". After completion of this class, I recommend taking some other sections a-la-carte, or taking the entire masterclass (see my instructor profile for more details).
