UdemyWritten for the shift to remote study and work brought on by social distancing, this course offers ten practical tips for maintaining concentration and productivity outside a traditional classroom, library, or cafe setting.
Who it's for: students and remote workers who are new to studying or working from home and want a structured way to adapt.
The course is upfront that there's no single solution that works for everyone — the goal is to give you enough strategies to find what fits, drawn from the instructor's own two years of working and mentoring from home.
Since early 2020, many governments, companies, and organizations around the world have encouraged or enforced "social distancing," working from home, and remote education. This continues to present unique and potentially difficult challenges for people who are used to studying and working in classrooms, libraries, and cafes, and who are now studying at home, possibly by themselves.
On the other hand, working from home also provides new opportunities to explore different ways of learning, finding a work/life balance, and having a healthier lifestyle.
The purpose of this course is to teach you ten tips that will help you maintain your concentration and productivity while studying and working from home. There are no magic one size fits all solutions, and even strategies that work for you may be less effective over time. I hope some of these tips are useful for you, or at least can inspire you to think about other strategies that might work for you.
I’ve been working, teaching, and mentoring from home for almost two years. I’ve had many discussions about work from home issues and thought a lot about the topic. I decided to make this course in hopes that it helps some of you optimize your time.
