UdemyThis lesson bundles several core building blocks of guitar playing into one session: basic warm-up exercises for technique, the seven shapes of the guitar modes, pentatonic scales, and the harmonic and melodic minor scales. It closes with a set of licks built from the pentatonic scale, played at multiple speeds so you can start slow and work up.
Materials include tabs in PDF form, the corresponding Guitar Pro files, a drum track for practicing warm-ups, and backing tracks in the key of A minor for applying the pentatonic scale and licks in context rather than in isolation.
Guitarists at any level looking to expand their scale and lick vocabulary, or who want a structured warm-up routine to build technique, will find a compact, practice-ready resource here.
Welcome to the Guitar Essentials (Warm Up, Scales and Guitar Licks)
In this Video Lesson you will learn a few basic Warm Ups (which are great for your technique), Guitar Scales (as the seven shapes of the Guitar Modes), Pentatonic Scales, some Guitar Licks plus the Harmonic and Melodic Minor scales.
If you need to increase your lick library, I will show you at the end of this video some licks using the pentatonic scale.
You will also notice that I play the licks in different speeds. Choose the speed that is most comfortable and gradually increase it.
