UdemyA hands-on introduction to SceneKit, Apple's framework for building 3D experiences on iOS without the steep learning curve typically associated with 3D development. Everything is done in Swift using Xcode playgrounds, so no physical device is required, just Xcode 6.
iOS developers curious about 3D who want an accessible entry point, whether the eventual goal is building a 3D game or simply adding a 3D user interface to an app. The course is framed as a way to get ahead of the curve as 3D becomes a bigger part of software generally.
Because everything runs in playgrounds, you can follow along interactively and see results immediately as you experiment with each concept.
The future of software is going to be 3D. If you watched the 2015 F8 Facebook Keynote you'll know that they are focusing on 3D virtual reality with oculus rift.
Yeah yeah, 3D is cool but isn't 3D like really hard to develop? ...usually it is but Apple has released a framework called SceneKit that makes it pretty darn simple.
This is your chance to get ahead of the technological curve and become proficient with the next generation of 3D frameworks.
