UdemyThis is a set of five short stretch-and-strengthen videos, each 13 to 17 minutes, built specifically for people who feel intimidated by typical exercise content or are cautious about putting pressure on their joints, including those returning to movement after injury.
Everything is designed to be done at home with limited space and no special equipment, which removes two of the most common barriers to starting a movement practice.
Every class works the full body, with an emphasis on large muscle groups, joint mobility, and core strength. Sessions can be done in any order and are kept intentionally short to make daily practice realistic rather than aspirational.
They also double as warm-ups or cool-downs, whether that's loosening up after sitting for long periods, starting the day, or preparing for the instructor's tai chi classes. Once these no longer feel challenging, the natural next step is a follow-on Starter Series.
This course offers 5 different 13 - 17 minute stretch and strengthen videos. These exercises have been designed for the absolute beginner who is looking to get back in touch with their bodies. If you feel intimidated by other more complicated exercise routines, if you are fearful of putting too much pressure on your joints or if you are in recovery from injury and want to start exercising with something light these videos are perfect for you.
The classes have been designed for you to be able to do in your own home, with a limited amount of space. They do not require any special equipment. Each class includes a full body experience and focuses on large muscle groups, joint mobility and core strength. The videos can be completed in any order and they have been kept short to encourage students to do these exercises daily.
These Starter Series #1 Videos work as warm ups or cool downs, they can be done to get your blood flowing after sitting for a long period or first thing in the morning to start the day fresh.
They also act as a warm up for my tai chi classes. Choose the level most appropriate to you and do these quick body warm up and condition exercises before engaging with the Tai Chi Course you are following. Once these videos no longer feel challenging, progress to the Start Series #2.
